Today I am going to review one of the most popular product from Skinfood brand “Black sugar Mask Wash off “. After hearing many positive reviews of this product, I finally take a decision to try this one.

Description: A mask that contains mineral-enriched Brazilian black sugar and promotes smooth, glowing skin. Contains many nutritive ingredients such as fresh plants, fruits, etc., which helps to nourish and hydrate the skin.

Packaging: The Product packing is quite nice, sealed with screw lid and also the top lid inside the product which really helps to keep the product inside instead of spreading outside.

How to use: After cleansing, massage onto damp face, avoiding the eye and mouth areas. To minimize irritation, add water or toner while massaging .Leave for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water.

Experience: Well, we all know the benefit of honey in different ways. It’s good for skin and for the overall development of the health. The mixture of honey and sugar has always been the best scrub to remove dead cells and make skin youthful and beautiful. I sometimes make my own scrub by mixing honey and sugar and it has always given me a good result. So, I have bought this pack as the main ingredient is honey in it.

I was so super excited to try this product when I first bought it. It’s a scrub type pack which is smooth and quite easy to apply on the face.  The mixture is brown in color, has granular texture, with the light smell of honey. I applied in my clean damn face with some water to spread out evenly and gently massage for about 1-2 minutes, and then leave it as a pack to dry. You can also add water or toner while massaging the face. The sugar gradual might hurt if rub hardly, so for sensitive and acne pro skin, be very gentle while rubbing or it can also be used just as a pack instead of rubbing. I rinse off after about 15-20 min. It gives the fresh looks and makes skin smooth and bright. I use it once a week and sometimes twice when I travelled a lot. I also helps to remove dead cells without stripping out the skin natural oil. It gives the fresh and clear appearance, whenever I used it.

Today I am going to review one of the most popular product from TheFaceShop Korean brand “Jeju Fresh Aloe gel”, which can be used for the multiple purpose. This is the fresh, soothing gel which contains 99% Aloe Vera.

Price: 890 for 300 ml

Description: Formulated with 99% Aloe Vera Leaf Extract from Jeju to soothe and moisturize the skin. This can be used as a moisturizing, soothing, facial pack and after-sun care.

Experience: I was so excited to try this multipurpose aloe gel as I heard lots of positive reviews about this. I bought it from the Misumi cosmetics about 1 month back.

This product has the transparent color and a gel like texture and smells like a fresh aloe Vera. This can be used either as a face pack or as a moisturizer for a daily use. I tried it in both a way. I used it as a face pack during the evening on my clean face. I applied a thick layer and rise after 15 minutes. It gives refreshed and smooth feeling. It takes some time to absorb, but gives you a soothing appearance after it get absorbed into skin. It also gives that cooling effect just like a natural aloe Vera. Also, I used it every morning as a moisturizer, which makes my skin really fresh and hydrated. I like it both as a face pack and a moisturizer but I could not really see that change in my dry parts. You can also use it as an overnight face mask skipping your night cream.

Overall: I love this product and its affordable compared to its quantity. And most interesting part is that it has multipurpose benefit, you can use either way you like it. In my opinion, this product is good for the normal skin type, but for the extreme dry skin, this product does not work. So, I would recommend this more as a regular gel to freshen up.

Today I am going to review about the very popular product from the Himalaya Herbals Brand. I have heard that their face pack is really good. So, I have bought this two product to try and compare the effect.

Product 1: Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Pack

This product comes in a cute packaging and its very travel friendly. Generally, this product is for normal to oily skin. And this product claims to deep cleanse and purify to give clear and problem-free skin. I have combination skin with some pimples, so I tried it specially to get rid of my pimples.

As per instruction, I applied the thick layer of mask for about 15 min and wash off with the cold water. I feel the fresh feeling, but that really doesn’t last long. And about the pimples claim, I don’t think it worked out for me. I used it like about 4-5 times, but till now I could not really feel the change that has been claimed by this product.

Remarks: As, continuous use of this product will dry out the skin, so will not recommend for the extreme dry skin.

Product 2: Himalaya Herbals Moisturizing Cucumber Peel-off Mask

The packaging of all the Himalayas product is same. The Cucumber Peel-off mask product is like a gel type like Aloe Vera. Normally, this product is recommended for dry skin to moisture and soften the skin. The product claims to remove the dead skin cells, brightens skin and rejuvenate facial skin.

I use this mask in the clean face, application is quite easy and absorb quickly into the skin. After 15-20 minute I peel it off. But I could not really feel any noticeable change to my skin. Although, I feel like it dried out my skin even more, like it absorb all the skin natural moisture. So, I am very disappointed with the product result.

Pros: I don’t have any pros for this product

These days my hair looks dull, dry and rough due to frequent travel in the sun and dust. So to pamper my hair I bought the hair treatment from the German brand “Schwarzkopf”of repair rescue range. Follow me ahead to know the review of this product.

Hair Type: For fine to normal damaged hair

Price: 1450 for 200ml

Packaging: The product comes in a tub packaging with wide opening and it is definitely not a travel friendly.

My Experience:

I have colored by hair few months back and now my hair started to feel very dry and frizzy. So, I was looking for a good hair treatment that would give life to my dull hair. My friend has suggested this product since she has a quite good result from it. Also, I have heard a lot about this brand and was super excited to give this a try. I wanted to buy the smooth and shine range, but that was out of stock so I ended up buying this repair rescue range.  The product smells so good that I love to keep on smell it.

I first washed my hair with regular shampoo and rinse all the excess water. After that I put the product evenly layering the each part and avoiding the scalp. Then, I wrap the warm towel for 10-15 minutes and then rise with the water. I don’t find it that difficult to wash off. After washing off and drying out my hair, it feels soft and tangle free. I love that my hair feels healthy and a bit shiny, which actually just last for a day.  I used it once a week, but you can use it once or twice depending on your requirement. Mostly I love the fragrance of this product, but I felt this didn’t last long.

 Overall:  I loved this product and will definitely repurchase again, but would love to try “smooth and shine” range from this brand. I would recommend everyone who have dull and damaged hair to try this product.

I am back again with another review of the moisturizer from the Korean brand “ARSAINTE ECO-THERAPY Moisturizer”. This is my first time experience with the Korean brand “The face shop”. I am so much obsessed with the moisturizer because for me this is really the key essential to make my skin smooth and supple. This brand product was founded in 2003 and they claim their product to be 100% natural and organic. I was always keen to experience the Korean brand because most of the people have quite good experience with it.

Price: NRS. 1655 for 125 ml

Packaging: It’s a glass bottle with a pump head and lid on top. The bottle is not travel friendly as you to be very carefully while carrying as the glass is heavy and will break down if fall.

Product description: ARSAINTE ECO-THERAPY Moisturizer improves skin suppleness by delivering hydration deep down into the skin. Contains 100% ECOCERT-certified golden palm oil.

Direction to use: Apply daily in the morning and evening on freshly cleansed skin. Tap lightly to allow absorption.

My experience: It’s always good to try something which is very natural. It’s a very light moisturizer which I could use every day. The texture of this product is very light, non-sticky and really smooth.  It smells amazing and easily absorb on the skin. I apply about 2 pumps for the whole face and neck region. It gives refreshing and cooling effect for a few minutes. I used it for about 4 weeks, but I could not really see any changes in my skin. It reduces the production of extra oil, but after a few hours of application I feel like my skin is not moisturize enough. So, you have to apply it in the very interval of 2-3 hours if you want to keep your skin moisturized all day. I think this product suits for normal skin type, but for very dry skin, this product is definitely not the solution. It’s a normal moisturizer which is very natural and gives you refresh feeling, but other than that there is nothing that I see extra in this product. And about its claim, it definitely balances the oil level, but moisture balance I don’t find it work out.

Overall: This can be used as a normal moisturizer and for refresh feeling, but other than that, don’t expect something miracle from this product.

In today’s market, you can see the tons of beauty products with varieties of brand and choosing the right product might be quite difficult for you.

But, don’t worry here is a quick guide and some tips to choose the right products.

Know your skin type

What is your skin type? Have you ever bought the product according to your skin type? This is the most important matter to be considered before buying a product. Knowing your skin type and following the correct skin care routine can actually help you to get beautiful and glowing skin. Not only that, but you can save your money by investing on the right product.

To find your actual skin type, wash your face with clean water, remove your entire make up and then wait for an hour to see your skin condition. You may fall under any of the categories.

Normal- People under this category have supple, smooth, well and even skin tone.

Oily- People under this category have greasy skin, large pores on nose area and have shiny looking skin.

Dry- If your skin looks dry, feels tight, have dry patches and have lack of natural oil then you have dry skin.   

Combination- If you have all the above mixed elements, then you have combination skin. This type of skin has only T-zone and other parts normal to dry.

Sensitive skin:  If you have irritated and highly chemical reacted skin, then you have sensitive skin.

Acne-prone skin: People under this category have pimples, blackheads, whiteheads and have large pores on their skin.

Choose the product

Now, after you finally know your skin type, follow these routine while grabbing a product.

Normal skin – If you have normal skin, you are the lucky one, since you don’t have to be too much attentive while buying a product. Just pick a product that is for normal or all skin types.

Oily skin- If you have oily skin, use oil free product and better exfoliate your skin twice a week to give excess facial oil at bay. Use gel, light, thin lotion and liquid based product. And for cleansing, use soap free products.

Dry skin – If you have dry skin, choose a product in a rich cream based and contains aloe/moisturizer. Don’t use face wash, instead of that just use mild cleanser that is cream based. After washing your face, don’t forget to use a moisturizer. And if possible don’t use power on your skin as it will even make your skin dry. You can also use moisturizing serum which gives your skin extra moisture. You can use Body shop vitamin E serum which I have mentioned on my previous post.

Combination skin- Caring for combination skin might be quite tricky since you have oily, dry and normal parts in your skin. If it’s possible use two different products for oily and dry parts. You can also buy tons of products available in the market, which is made for combination skin. While applying the product, first apply to the dry parts and tap the remaining amount on the oily parts of your face, just to control the excess oil.

Sensitive Skin – If you have sensitive skin, look for product that are fragrance free and contains no harsh chemicals. And if possible test the product on other body parts before applying directly in the face.

Acne-prone skin- If you have acne-prone skin, you need to be extra attentive while choosing a product. Use gentle cleanser and use dermatological product for best result. Buy a product that contains salicylic acid as it has anti-acne properties.

Who doesn’t love to wear makeup and look beautiful? But, putting on makeup is not only the thing, removing it clearly is equally important. I can’t go into bed at night without removing my makeup and clearing the entire residue. So, today I am going to review the L’oreal  Paris micellar water, which I have bought from the store. I have been using this for more than 3 months and now I can’t wait more to share my experience with this product.

Price: NRs. 690 for 200ml

Product details:  A high performance, hypoallergenic cleansing water.

Product claims: Removes make-up purifies and soothes skin. Micellar water swiftly dissolves make-up and captures pore-clogging impurities in just one gentle action causing no stress to the skin.

Ingredients: Aqua/water,  Hexylene Glycol, Glycerin, Poloxamer 184, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Disodium EDTA, Polyaminopropyl  Biguanide.

 No alcohol and no perfume.

Application method: Apply using a cotton wool pad onto dry skin. Hold over the lashes, lids and lips for a few seconds, and then just sweep away. No need to rinse or rub. Use morning and evening.

Skin Type:  Suitable for all skin types, even for sensitive skin.

Shelf Life: 6 months from the date of PAO (Period after opening)

Packaging:  The product comes in a rectangular transparent plastic bottle with flip cover on top. There is a hole dispenser inside from which pouring the product is quite difficult.

Experience: When I first saw this product, I didn’t have such expectation that it would do something good to my skin. The product packaging is normal and the texture seems to be just like water with no fragrance at all. I used it by tapping a cotton pad and slightly swiping it over my face, it removes all the makeup and residue. I don’t use heavy makeup, so make up removes very easily, but for those who put on lots of make up, you should have to do few extra wipes to clear out your entire makeup.After using it, skin feels very clean and refreshed and also gives you a moisturized feeling. I used it twice a day, morning and evening and now it have been my regular cleansing routine. I use it not only for removing make up but also as a moisturize toner. So, beside make up remover I love it more as a soft cleanser. It does not break me out and skin feels soft after its application. But because of its packaging and large bottle, it’s really not a travel friendly, wish this would have come in a smaller bottle with spray headJ. And also it is very difficult to dispense the product from a hole dispenser.

This product is so light that you don’t have to worry about your skin even when you used this on a daily basis. I have a combination and sensitive skin and this product has totally worked for me.

-Removes all make up and impurities

-Soften the skin

-Does not break out

-Cleanse skin without harsh rubbing

-Have no smell and harsh chemical

-Skin does not feel tight

-Work as a soft cleanser

Cons:

-Dispensing the product is difficult

-Packaging is not that portable

Overall: Mostly I love the fact that it is for sensitive skin and it really does what it claims, so I am already on my second bottle. I would recommend everyone to try this once with whatever skin tone you have since this is suitable for any skin type.
